To elaborate a bit more…

I’d just like to talk a bit more about the blessings that came from the hail storm a few weeks ago.

In talking with a friend of mine, I realized just how much God knows about my family and our needs. In my own little narrow mind, I felt so desperate that we had one vehicle, that our house needed a new paint job before we could sell it, and that finances were the issue. And then out of nowhere HAIL! Dan and I literally started praying fiercely as soon as the storm began that God would make it stop and let us not have any damage to the house or car as we could not afford repairs or the stress it would cause. And lo and behold He was actually blessing us as we were praying against it. Because of that hail, we were blessed with a tremendous second vehicle. Because of that hail, we will be able to paint the very 2 sides of the house that needed to be painted in the first place. Because of that hail, I am so thankful to be learning that God really is aware. I was so silly to ever think that He didn’t know my stress. Just because it took some time to resolve (1 year and a half for the car) didn’t mean He didn’t have a plan.

So now, in some other areas of our life together, Dan and I are beginning to chill just a little bit more and relax in knowing that it will be resolved in His time. A hard lesson to learn but it’s a great feeling to be able to rest in Him.
