Holiday Open House!!
Well, virtual at least!!
Welcome to all who are visiting from BooMama, Hooked On Houses, Thrifty Decor Chick, or A Soft Place to Land!
Welcome to my home! This is is most CERTAINLY themed: “Christmas on a budget” but you can still do some fun things with little money! This virtual open house is timed perfectly with a REAL LIFE party I’m having this evening for some fellow Pastor’s Wives (and the Pastors too!) so I killed two birds with one stone when it came to cleaning up toys and such!
I hope you’re enjoying the tour of homes by two of my favorite blogs! I can’t wait to make my rounds and see yours as well!
Let’s begin!
The wreath I made this morning out of branches from various pines trees, ivy, and holly in my yard!
Our value board (an 8×4′ cork board in our kitchen with pictures of friends and family) updated with some Christmas paper!
VERY inexpensive decor… changed our normal “Welcome” on my chalk board to a Christmas tree!
The ol’ cake stand with gold and silver ornaments in it
Some vases I had in the basement from various weddings I’ve done with food coloring and floating candles sitting on Dollar Tree trays! Sorry I forgot to light them for you!
The tree! The camera doesn’t do so great in low lighting, but you get the gist! Lots of ribbon and Dollar tree ornaments (noticing the theme here?) as well as family ones.
Our stockings from the Dollar Tree with my own metal wire name designs that can be found in my shop!
My mantel with the new star I did this week (scrapbook paper on a metal barn star)!
A close up!
And as my dear friend Susan pointed out… I forgot to add my advent socks earlier! So here they are!
Thanks for visiting! I can’t wait to see your homes as well!

I just linked to you from BooMama and I seriously didn’t realize it was you until I clicked it! I can’t believe you didn’t show your advent socks!!! They are so cute! See you tonite!!
Pretty! My favorite is the chalkboard tree. Such a clever idea!
Well, first of all, love your blog! I’m WAY more crazy than cool! And second of all, those advent socks are too stinking cute. I’m totally stealing (borrowing? imitating as the highest form of flattery?) that idea!
