True celebrating!

I love my son. I love teaching him new things. Now, while we’ve always talked about giving to others, I am just loving teaching him that this is the real meaning of Christmas. BEING Jesus to others. I took him with me a while ago to the store to get some toys for some kids who don’t have many and he had such a great time picking things out for them. (And he only asked for a balloon for himself 1 time instead of his normal 20 times at this particular store.) So just this week we took everything out again, sat down and colored cards for the kids, and wrapped up all the presents. Today he went with me to a local mission we support and dropped off the presents to the lady in charge (we didn’t want to go when the kids were there b/c we only had 4 bags of presents so obviously only 4 kids will receive them. Figured it was best to let them disperse them as needed!). He was such a kind boy and helped me bring them in and give them to the lady. We told her we would definitely be back to help some afternoon with some of their after-school programs.
My prayer for my son and my daughter is that they learn VERY early what Christmas is about. Giving.
