I had a little burst of creative energy in regards to Elle’s birthday cake!
I really wanted to bake the cake mix in the baby food jars but I didn’t think the glass was tempered so I didn’t want to try it and end up with shattered glass in my oven! So here’s what I did:

The last picture…did you ice around the jar? I saw on Food Network once a lady who made cupcakes with baby food! She had a regular white cake mix and added the jars of baby food fruit for the flavor. It makes me want to try that and then put the cake in the jars. Too creative!
Hey Mandi- nope, I just made one cupcake like regular for her and took the paper off and iced the whole thing like a little mini-cake!
I was thinking of using the fruit/veggies in the cake but I was worried that if I hadn’t taste-tested it first it might scare our friends! Haha! Next time!!
